An 8-year-old was rushed to the hospital following a collision between a personal watercraft and boat at the Sacramento River Arm of Lake Shasta Saturday afternoon.
An 8-year-old was rushed to the hospital for injuries following a collision between a boat and a personal watercraft, around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
According to scanner reports, the child was at the Sacramento River Arm of Shasta Lake when the collision occurred. It was unclear whether the child was operating the watercraft at the time of the collision or if there were any other injuries sustained.
Don Watt, battalion chief with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, said he’d received reports that the child was “unconscious and bleeding from the neck.”
